Hello everyone, we are pleased to welcome you in this episode of WeAreCircular! This podcast is designed to give a voice to those involved in the economic transition, those who are promoting the circular economy.
Today, let’s delve into the captivating story of Alix, Louise and Katia, three agri-food engineers who have combined passion and commitment to create an innovative company focused on the fight against food waste.
Located between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire, their Handi-Gaspi, cookie factory operates within a local ESAT, promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities. These visionary entrepreneurs have opted for a circular approach, using unsold organic bread from bakeries in Nantes to concoct cookies that are as delicious as they are eco-responsible.
By favoring local, fair-trade ingredients, these entrepreneurs also aim to support short, sustainable supply chains. Their resolute choice of a 100% organic approach contributes to the development of environmentally-friendly agriculture.
oday we’re joined by Katia TARDY, co-founder of the Handi-Gaspi cookie factory, who will tell us about her background and the story behind her project, the 1st cookie with social AND environmental impact.
