The Inter-Company Extended Producer Responsibility Commission (CIFREP) has released its 2022 activity report. It announces that the 18 EPR channels are operational.
6 of these channels were created following the AGEC law:
- Do-it-yourself and garden items,
- Mineral oils, tobacco-sludge,
- Toys,
- Sports and leisure items,
- Packaging used by professionals with a catering activity,
- Construction waste: products and materials used in construction;
In the construction sector, extended producer responsibility has greatly evolved with respect to waste. Here are a few points:
- Setting a waste collection target
- The implementation of a principle of joint collection of waste from professionals and individuals, if the situation allows it. In addition, the waste collection centers will not be obliged to accept professional waste.
- Setting up a waste traceability system.
- The collection points will have to be located within a radius of 10 km, 20 km for certain areas for waste emitters.
- Finally, the responsibility for the collection and transport of waste will remain limited to 50% by the producers until 2026.
A little anecdote : the report of the inter-commission on extended producer responsibility published in 2020 by Jacques Vernier has greatly inspired the AGEC law set up in 2022.
